Welcome to the website for Studies in Peace and Wisdom, a day retreat and series of ten seminars looking at the relationship between the West's propensity to fight wars and our Enlightened philosophy.  All of these will take place at the Bodhi Garden throughout the latter half of February, March and April.

The overview for the retreat acts as an overview for the series and outlines for the first five seminars are up.  The guest speakers are (so far):

• Flat Earth News by Nick Davies on  Tuesday 4^th March, 7-9pm;

• Why are we such a violent nation? by Christopher Titmuss on Tuesday 25^th March, 7-9pm.

The current schedule may be adjusted to accommodate more guest speakers and feedback on the series (though the above guest seminars are as fixed as they can be).  Watch this space!

While the series is designed to fit together, each element is intended to stand alone and any of the seminars can be attended by itself.
